About this opportunity**

As a Strategic Planning Lead, you will work collectively as part of wider strategy and planning team to design, drive and deliver cause-aligned strategic planning and performance management. You will build consistent and coordinated ways of working that connect the whole organisation to Strategy 2030 and align the organisation and its resources to maximise impact and drive ad aptation and change based on evidence and insight.

This role supports two of the six pillars of the strategy – Health Inequalities and Our Movement – working with executive director pillar leads to set strategic direction, understand our external context and how we adapt to it and define success.

What we are looking for

With up-to-date knowledge of approaches to strategy development, planning and performance monitoring and the ability to work at pace and drive momentum in the context of wider organisation change, you will have experience of:

  • Driving simple and effective strategic planning processes in large not for profit organisation
  • Effectively navigating through ambiguity and complexity to drive new ways of working and continuous improvement
  • Leading cross-organisation teams to form shared strategic direction and objectives
  • Ability to work with executive and senior leaders, including coaching and influencing leadership to steer strategic direction
  • Breaking through blockers, overcoming resistance and resolving complex cross-functional problems

The strategic planning team sits within the Strategy, Communications and Advocacy Directorate which tells the story about who we are, what we do, what we believe in and the difference we make to people’s lives.

Our goal is to help the organisation make decisions in a way that results in a positive change for people in crisis based on evidence, insight and lived experience.
