Position Title: Strategic Planning Expert (International)
Duty Station: Makkah/Jeddah and remotely
Duration: Up to 100 days over 8 months with possibility for extension

This vacancy is announced by UNDP Saudi Arabia through Stars Orbit Consultants and Management Development (SOC). SOC is a sub-contractor for UNDP Saudi Arabia, assisting the programme in implementing their activities through HR and contract management of consultants working in their support.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- BSc in urban or regional planning, development or equivalent, plus:
- MSc or PhD is strategic development or a strategic planning related field.
Experiences:
- 15 years, including experience within the Saudi strategic landscape, KSA Vision 2030 and its Realization Programs years of relevant work experience.
- Technical report writing
- Ability to conduct and/or moderate meetings.
- Formulations, interpretation and analysis of strategic urban and regional development indicators, benchmarks, opportunities and risks.
- Formulation and verification of strategic development targets and indicators.
- Incorporation of strategic development targets in spatial development frameworks or masterplans.
- Mastery of monitoring tools for the achievement of strategic targets over time.
- Strategic Planning., including viability/feasibility analysis.
Language:
- Full proficiency in the English is required. Ability to read/write/speak Arabic will be an advantage.
