Job Purpose

The SEP Officer, reporting to the Partnership Development Coordinator, will ensure appropriate support, tracking, and analysis of institutional partnership engagement and development in IFRC Turkiye. The SEP Officer will also support research and development efforts in forging new partnerships and will contribute to the effective maintenance of strong and expanding relationships with existing donors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Stakeholder mapping and partnership development research

  • Map funding opportunities, funding cycles, timelines to enable strategic institutional partnership opportunities.
  • Identify new contributors and generate leads with a special emphasis on major donors. daily account administration and other administrative chores for the SEP team.
  • Support the Reginal SEP team in bilateral meetings with partners and prospects.

Pledge and Grant Management

  • Track and record all grants, donor specifications, legal requirements, internal and external deadlines, including filing of grant documentation, and make sure that regular updates are received and communicated as needed.
  • Ensure close coordination with in-country and regional stakeholders in donor data management, including pledge management
  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and on-time delivery of narrative and financial documents, oversee the process of developing concept notes, proposals, and reports (for donors and internal reports) in close cooperation with Programme Specialists, Programme and Monitoring and Evaluation teams, and Finance.
  • Enhance internal grant management systems and procedures; analysing and sharing lessons learned from the processes involved in proposals and reports; and providing support and briefings to ensure compliance with donor requirements
  • Ensure timely and accurate contract and pledge processing, validation, extension and overall management.
  • Assure that SEP, Finance team, and Budget Holders regularly follow up on pledge implementation rates and donor requirements to satisfy the criteria and conditions of particular grants. If needed, conduct periodic monitoring visits to grant implementation sights.

Funding Opportunities and Proposal Development

  • Support the Partnership Development Coordinator and the broader SEP team in the development of funding proposals, concept notes and marketing documents.
  • Assist NSs (donor and recipient NSs) in creating funding applications for back-donors.
  • Assist the IFRC Turkiye Team and the Regional SEP team in carrying out partnership calls, making sure important stakeholders are contacted promptly, creating briefing notes and presentations, creating frequent updates, etc.

Education

Required:

  • University degree in relevant discipline (ex. g. International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing)

Preferred:

  • Relevant professional training courses (Red Cross/Red Crescent related, humanitarian and development sector, management)

Experience

Required:

  • At least 3 years working experience with relevant experience in managing relations with donors and partners
  • Experience in organizing partnership calls, events, conferences or meetings
  • Experience of developing proposals and ensuring strong communication from start to end of relationship
  • Experience working with Emergency Appeals
  • Experience in drafting agreements, pledge management and income processing

Preferred:

  • Relevant work experience with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and knowledge of IFRC systems and processes in pledge management, planning, project proposals development, reporting systems and financial management
  • Experience of working with corporate donors
  • Work experience with other international organizations, large NGOs and/or governmental development agencies
  • Experience of working in Europe and/or Central Asia

  • Good command of another IFRC official language (French, Spanish, Arabic) or Turkish
