The innovative team at Robert Half is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to help further their efforts in the Tax Consulting industry on a permanent basis. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. How you will make an impact

  • Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
  • Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
  • Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
  • Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
  • Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
  • Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
  • In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
  • Partake in various department-wide initiatives
  • Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
  • Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Requirements

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
  • Skilled with ERP systems
  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Detailed and have the ability work independently
  • Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • University Degree experience desired
  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
