Join Us! PSI is looking for a passionate Sr. Global Data Science Manager to manage a growing team on global projects transforming the use of health data at scale across the PSI network. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on technologist, data scientist, and business intelligence expert responsible for outlining the architecture, leverage engineering best practices and rigor to build robust systems and processes, as well as building visual and predictive analytics solutions. The right person should have an inherent sense of creativity and strategic innovative thinking for finding insights in sprawling data sets and converting them into strategic opportunities within the organization. The Sr. Global Data Science Manager will work closely with program managers to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will be required to support and guide the business in a wide range of activities, from building explanatory and predictive models and communicating complex insights, to running experimental pilots and evaluating inference. The Global Sr. Data Science Manager will also manage a team of data analytics visualization specialists to meet program data needs while leading the discovery of opportunities for improvement across multiple projects. Your contribution The Sr. Global Data Science Manager will: • Manage a global team of data visualization specialists supporting program teams in the transformation of data into actionable analytical products to guide program decisions • Oversee the development of PSI enterprise advanced business intelligence web applications using PowerBI or Apache Superset, that make it easy for users of all skill sets to explore and visualize data.

• Lead the development of PSI’s global advanced analytics strategy and capability development including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and anomaly detection models for predictive analytics to turn real-time data into actionable insights. • Manage the rollout and continued growth of PSI’s global data lake architecture, including embedded cloud ETL/ELT services like Azure data factory for scale-out serverless data integration and data transformation. • Oversee a team of data specialists to interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and communicate analysis and findings in a clear, concise manner • Lead continued optimization PSI global enterprise infrastructure used in data analytics workstream (data lakes, data warehouses, automation frameworks). • Oversee systematic data ingestion from data sources including published events and API integrations. • Lead global strategy for enterprise-level visualization and analytics technology to advance the analytics’ team capability • Direct development of PSI automation guidelines and frameworks for data pipelines and analytics processes. • Manage development of advanced data-driven, innovative data models & visualizations to be used to advance strategic decision making • Understand business requirements to set functional specifications and design reports and dashboards with modern approaches • Direct a team of data specialists to synthesize and shape data from multiple data sources into reporting and actionable analytics that include intelligent recommendations • Lead data modelling and creation of aggregation pipelines in MongoDB (document-oriented database program) which augments schema design for performance, scalability, and simplicity. • Oversee global rollout of Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and WhatsApp Twilio Service tools to pull and distilling the marketing campaign, impact and strategy performance data for end-to-end management. • Manage PSI organization-wide integration of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) data structures, Dialogflow (chatbots), and BigQuery (cloud RDBMS) into PSI’s global data warehouse structure to harvest digital analytics and measure the purchase funnel involving acquisition, behaviour and conversion.

What are we looking for? We are looking for a highly ambitious individual with a passion for data science, data visualization, and health who is willing and able to learn by doing in a demanding position. In particular, we are looking for; • Bachelors’ in data science, information management statistics, applied mathematics, analytics, economics, computer science, or related field required • 8-9 years of experience in a business intelligence role in data science and analytics, or visualizations/dashboarding • 8-9 years of experience leading data-driven design, analysis, and presenting data models, visualizations, and data insight to internal and external customers • 8-9 years of experience utilizing Power Bi, Tableau or Superset to drive strategic decisions

• Adept at orchestrating end-to-end data products; including collaborating with stakeholders to scope requirements, extracting and transforming data, building and evaluating models/analyses and deploying these in repeatable and robust manner • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SQL, STATA, SPSS, SAS, etc.) • Familiar with multiple data sources (XML, CSV, JSON, etc.) and scripting languages Python, R • Understanding of market research and analysis techniques • Very strong personal integrity • Strong communication and presentation skills • Creative problem-solving skills • Highly organized and a self-starter • Experience in public health
