Your tasks

  • Revision of results matrices and preparation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks including review and adaptation of indicators and specific data collection tools for selected projects, programmes, and thematic focal areas
  • Monitoring the strategy of the programme department (in cooperation with other teams and the department management) as well as specific key performance indicators in the overall strategy of Plan International Germany
  • Designing, commissioning, providing technical support and quality control of project and programme evaluations, strategic evaluations as well as evaluation(s) of the quality of evaluation reports
  • Creation and/ or revision of M&E-relevant learning and training formats, guidance documents and templates for the programme department of Plan International Germany
  • Editorial work for M&E-relevant internal and external communication
  • Subject-specific internal and external networking at national and international level (e.g., VENRO, AA, DeGEval)

Your profile

  • Advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) as well as at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation, in international cooperation (development cooperation and/or humanitarian aid)
  • Sound working experience in the preparation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks with indicators and data collection tools as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods
  • Experience in tendering, contracting, and providing technical support and/or independent implementation of evaluation projects of complex projects/ programmes
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and M&E relevant qualitative and quantitative software applications as well as knowledge of data management (design, input, cleaning, analysis) and data protection
  • Written and spoken fluency preferably in English and German, but at least in English required, advanced knowledge of French for thematic communication is desirable (further language skills, esp. Spanish, are an advantage)
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel abroad (including in the tropics) and/ or locally
