Social Media Manager (focus on video)*

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. In coordination with your Team Lead, working from home is possible at any time.

You are a person full of creative ideas and want to use your skills for an international organization with a purpose? As an expert for the use of videos on social media, it is your task to prepare the work of Welthungerhilfe creatively, target group oriented and communicate it especially externally. In doing so, you will work closely with our Online team in Bonn as well as with our international colleagues abroad.

Your responsibilities

• Take over the strategic and operational development of our channels on Youtube and TikTok and also produce for other channels such as Instagram
• Work closely with our Online team and other channel managers to develop editorial planning and jump on top of current topics
• Plan, design, produce and edit videos for our social media channels and also have no problem putting yourself in front of the camera
• Formulate treatments, set up shotlists, carry out filming and contribute to post-production
• Keep an eye on your KPIs at all times and be responsible for regular evaluations and reports
• Support community management and take over social listening for your channels
• Cooperate closely with our social media agency and manage freelancers and working students
• Keep an eye on current trends and be always interested in trying out new things

Your profile

• You have a university or polytechnic degree in a relevant field such as media/communication design, online marketing or digital communication.
• You are experienced as a content creator and have experience with setting up a TikTok or Youtube channel.
• You can prepare complex content in a way that is appropriate for the target group(s) and bring a high level of awareness and diversity skills.
• You have strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (especially Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and experience with social media editing tools (e.g. Canva).
• You are an organizational talent and can flexibly adapt to new situations – even when things get stressful.
• You are a team player and have a high degree of personal responsibility.
• You have excellent spoken and written German and English language skills.
