Discovery Inc

Overview

This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

(This Hybrid opportunity is located in New York City or Silver Spring, Maryland).

Responsibilities

Overview: The Social Good department oversees Discovery’s charitable contributions, relationships with non-profit partners, employee initiatives, sustainability, and external events. Events include Impact Day (our global day of employee volunteerism), various Government Relations events on the Hill, and other internal initiatives such as Say Yes To The Prom dress drives, Adopt-a-Family holiday program, and many others.

Responsibilities: This is an awesome department to be an intern for because the intern will get to work across many different fields, as our team oversees many different things across the company. Our intern would work closely with the Social Good team to plan for Impact Day, and would be brought in on day-to-day conversations with non-profit organizations, helping to fill tables, complete ads, and communicate between the NGO and Discovery employees. They’ll also get a feel for the Government Relations side of things, as well as support our sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States

About Our Program
