Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2023

Hours per week: 21hrs covering three day shifts, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, flexible (days to be arranged) with occasional weekend working

Salary: £17,464 per annum pro rata

Loneliness and social isolation affect people across the UK of all ages and backgrounds. Feeling alone can have a devastating impact on people’s health and well-being, as well as on communities, hospitals and other public services. Whenever someone is feeling lonely and don’t know where to turn for a friendly chat, or socially isolated and struggling to cope with the demands of life, YOU will be there to help.

There are small ways you can make a big difference to someone near to you, such as having a chat over a cup of tea or helping them join a local community group. There’s nothing better than knowing the time we spent with someone who feels a lone made them feel safer, happier, and more able to deal with crisis.

The Health & Local Crisis Response (HLCR) service supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services.

This role could be for you if

  • You can make things great. You know how to improve service quality for the benefit of users.
  • You’re professional. You can deal with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner
  • You love being flexible. Working hours out with the norm suits you.

Also, you should be the following:

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience)
  • IT literate
  • Full driving licence holder and access to own vehicle (preferred)
  • Have a good knowledge of services provided by the NHS & Social Care

The closing date for applications is 23.59 on Sunday 31st of July 2022 with interviews anticipated to be held 4th and 5th of August.
