Senior Trusts and Philanthropy Officer, PROSPECTUS

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a national health charity with their search for a Senior Trusts and Philanthropy Officer based in Scotland.

As the UK’s largest charity for people affected by multiple sclerosis, this organisation campaigns, funds key research, and offers local support networks to those affected by MS. Aiming to find a treatment for everyone affected by MS they have a pioneering research programme and until this goal is reached they are committed to ensuring no one has to face MS alone.

As the Senior Trusts and Philanthropy Officer, you will be responsible for building relationships with new donors and stewarding existing donors across trusts, foundations, and major donors in Scotland. With a view to secure four, five and six-figure grants and gifts, you will identify and cultivate new prospects and warm donors. You will also be part of a wider philanthropy team that will be there to support you and you will collaborate to achieve an ambitious team target.

To be successful as the Senior Trusts and Philanthropy Officer, you will have proven experience of fundraising with trusts and foundations and major donors. You will be confident in building upon existing and new relationships with donors and internal stakeholders, through written and verbal communication. You will also be comfortable in securing four, five, or six-figure gifts, and be confident in doing so through excellent stewardship. Ideally, you will understand the fundraising landscape in Scotland, particularly across the high-value income streams.

This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in their Edinburgh offices. There are also opportunities to discuss flexible working.
