We are looking for a Senior SysOps Engineer to join our Technology Operations team.

This position will be on a fixed-term contract.

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

As a Senior SysOps Engineer within Catena Media, you will be ensuring that all our systems are running at optimum performance and constantly striving to maintain high availability, security, and resiliency standards. To achieve this you will be liaising and working closely with DevOps, Corporate IT, and Security Teams together with Product Owners as well as other stakeholders within the organization.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• Troubleshoot and investigate issues and support requests as received via systems alerts or ticket queues;
• Proactively monitor deployment environments to ensure optimum systems stability
• Investigate and analyze issues that arise and serve as a contact point for internal teams, ensuring issue resolution while providing necessary information to stakeholders
• Identify recurring issues and escalate to respective teams seeking a permanent resolution
• Collaborate with the Domains Specialist to assist with issues related to domains
• Provide quality support following standard operating procedures and contribute to improving them in accordance with the ITILv4 framework
• Other related duties as assigned on a day-to-day basis

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role
• Very good working experience in Linux, NGINX, PHP and Git, Jenkins, Docker
• Experience in supporting containerized applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in configuring popular monitoring tools
• Good scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Good knowledge on databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Be a good team player, able to prioritize, and work well under pressure
• Experience in cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Microsoft Azure would be considered an asset
• Excellent stakeholder management skills in both a technical and non-technical environment
• Excellent spoken and written English language and interpersonal skills
