In this role, the product manager will be responsible for solving customer problems like “using Amazon Pay is difficult because it takes so many steps”, “I don’t know how to find anything on Amazon Pay”, and “I want to do something on Amazon Pay but it’s too complex”. General areas of responsibilities would be contextual discovery & quick linear navigation via onsite pages, Hamburger menu, Amazon Pay home page, store mode navigation etc. This role would also own non-linear navigation via text search & voice (Alexa) search. In general, the role would act as the channel owner for Amazon Pay store pages and all fixed navigation assets. This role would also be responsible for working with India and global partner teams to build completely new experiences for A.in or modify existing experiences to solve specific customer problems for Amazon Pay experiences.

The PM’s daily / weekly / yearly life would be a mixture of setting the product vision and strategy for the portfolio of navigation products, collaborate with large group of stakeholders to fine tune said strategy, analyze data to make perceptible continuous improvements to the product on a monthly basis, lead junior members of the team to drive and audit progress at a regular cadence.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
As a Senior Product Manager, we expect the following things from you
- A minimum of 5+ years of solid product management experience in consumer facing products
- User focus – ability to keep the customers first at the heart of all technologies we build
- Prioritization – ability to construct a roadmap, get buy-in from a larger team on the same and direct a team towards the common roadmap in a structured fashion
- End to End delivery – from creating a BRD, making phasing decisions, creating GTMs, analyzing post launch metrics and continuous iteration, making trade-off decisions, etc
- Data oriented approach – a keen eye for numbers and the ability to derive insights and product decisions-based numbers. Ability to handle ambiguous situations where limited information is available. Solid grasp on statistical techniques for experimentation and analysis is an added advantage.
- Stakeholder management – ability to work effectively across both internal and external industry leaders; negotiate complex topics and resolve conflicts.
- Long term vision – Ability to construct a vision basis long term customer and business needs and strong oral/written communication skills to articulate the same in a compelling manner
