Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Operations Manager, you will provide Technical leadership and Oversight to all Food Security and Food Assistance Programs, 3UN grants and Coordination of the Juba Zone projects. You will be working closely with the Resource Acquisition and Partnerships Team, Technical Sector Leads and Zonal Program Managers for proposal developments, project monitoring and reporting, to ensure projects comply with donor requirements and compliance. You will work to influence and promote coordination with key stakeholders in project implementation. You will ensure project outputs, outcome and impacts are adequately documented and shared, with lessons to improve program design and implementation. You will be responsible for ensuring cost optimization and risk management in all projects. You will also provide Strategic Leadership in World Vision South Sudan components of Disaster Management (DM), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Cash and Voucher Programming (CVP) and provide leadership and supervision to HEA/Cash and voucher focal person.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in any of the field of Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Food Security or related field in livelihood and resilience. Excellent project management skills and a good understanding of the project life cycle. and other related field including grant management.
  • At least 10 years field experience in a relief or development environment, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role with direct reporting lines.
  • Previous experience with successful multi-million-dollar program management and oversight (USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, GAC, DFAT, UN agencies).
  • Previous experience in managing Food Security and Livelihood, Food and Cash/Voucher Assistance programs, WASH, Nutrition, Health, GBV/protection, and Education programs for development and emergency experience in fragile or challenging and complex contexts.
  • Must have a clear understanding of the working of the major WV partners (USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, GAC, DFAT, UN etc), their requirements and standards.
  • Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Willingness to spend at least 30% of the time in the field visiting projects sometimes under difficult living conditions
