This is a senior strategic role to drive the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Platform Management capability to help Etihad leverage the benefit from an enterprise perspective, of strategic technology and business platforms. The overall objective is to ensure the organisation is equipped with the right platform capabilities to support our digital products and our digital transformation vision and strategy.The intrapreneurial role holder will be responsible for curating a roadmap for a set of strategic enterprise platforms, and will take on a ���full stack and full lifecycle��� accountability of; researching, product management, developing value cases, architecting, designing, facilitating the delivery and engineering the appropriate platforms (with relevant stakeholders and in compliance with our governance processes), to ensure platform capabilities are delivered at the appropriate time (to meet the needs of our consuming value stream digital products) and at the appropriate cost, to ensure maximum benefit for the group.Examples of enterprise platform capabilities include:Technology: Cloud, Technology (server and database) Integration (applications and data), Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Digital Workplace (end user productivity) and Automation platforms.Business: domain specific digital integration capabilities (integration services), Salesforce, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and digital experience platforms.As a senior leader (and member of the IT leadership team), the role holder will have the resource management skills to develop, coach and mentor a diverse team (with technical and non-technical skillsets) of direct reports, and resources assigned from Systems Integration (SI) and Managed Services partners. There will also be a responsibility to manage and maintain relationships with our strategic technology partners, to maximise the benefit of such partnerships to EtihadResponsibilitiesStrategy & Planning��� Building a portfolio of strategic enterprise platforms (business and technology) accompanied with defined strategies, roadmaps and architecture definitions/blueprints covering the full platform lifecycle from ���invest through to decommission��� in line with the business and IT strategies.��� Take on a ���full stack and full lifecycle��� accountability of; researching, product management, developing value cases, architecting, designing, facilitating the delivery and engineering of the appropriate platforms, measured by value creation (outcomes, goals and KPI���s)��� Continue to maintain and improve the Platforms and DevOps operating model to ensure the capability is able to deliver consumer perceived value (B2C, B2B and B2E) through feedback and retrospectives with stakeholders, and compliance with audit controls.��� Articulate the value of strategic enterprise business and technology platforms to technical and non-technical audiences (engineers through to Chief level stakeholders) Technology Platform Architecture & Engineering��� Define and maintain the enterprise technology architecture principles, policies, standards, reference architectures, blueprints for the technology domain and core platforms (e.g. cloud, infrastructure, integration and digital workplace.��� Provide solution level technology architecture governance for complex enterprise wide digital transformation projects and programmes (across value streams e.g. commercial, airline operations, cargo, enterprise)��� Evaluate and select new technology standards on behalf of the airline (in collaboration with relevant stakeholders) and in line with our technical and commercial governance processesDevOps: Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)��� Promote the adoption and benefits of DevOps (culture, practices and tooling) across the enterprise to promote continuous delivery of capabilities inline with Agile software and product development��� Own, manage and sponsor the evolution of the enterprise DevOps toolchains to drive maturity of continuous delivery capabilities across value stream consumers.��� Establish the Continuous Delivery Community of Practice (CoP) to provide capability aligned resources (internal and/or external) to individual value streams for engineering delivery/execution.��� Measure the maturity of continuous delivery (and wider DevOps) practices to ensure progress to a level of maturity that is appropriate for the organisation, and our cloud native applications landscape. Leadership and Management��� Lead, coach and mentor a team of Platform Architects, Product Managers and DevOps Engineers by providing line management and performance management of the team��� Define the Career Development Path (CDP) for all direct resources and oversee their learning and development plans��� Collaborate with the Value Stream Leads and the Product Managers to allocate and deploy platforms engineering resources to the agile/scrum teams.��� Collaborate closely with key stakeholders including; Infrastructure & Operations, IT Security, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, Software Engineering & Testing, Lean Agile CoE, Cost Management, Procurement and Legal.Qualifications��� 10+ years��� experience in complex IT environments in a senior role with cross functional experience (including one or more of; Technology Architecture, Product Management, Programme Management, IT Operations, Software Engineering, Infrastructure Management, and Dev Ops)��� Bachelor���s degree in Computer Science or related degree is mandatory ��� 3+ years of Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework experience, applying agile and/or scrum as a way of working to deliver technology products and capabilities.��� A sound understanding of a broad range of infrastructure and platform technologies covering; network, compute storage, virtualisation, security, databases, enterprise monitoring and observability, server OS, cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), data and application integration, container platforms, API management, CI/CD toolchains, test and automation tooling, end user compute, office productivity and virtual desktop infrastructure.
