Senior Linux System Administrator

We are searching experienced Linux System Administrator: Red Hat, who will work on standard system administration of VMW, that are virtualized environment hosted on-prem with physical servers from different vendors. You will have the opportunity to work on the telco domain project with a huge team of 20 experienced engineers working in the various fields of storage management, system engineering, DBA, and network administration.

Please note that this opportunity is an on-site engagement in Switzerland. For relocation opportunity, only candidates with EU passports will be considered.

Job Requirements

  • Installation, administration, and maintenance of Linux/Unix Operating Systems
  • Services: DHCP, DNS, Routing, PKI, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, storage subsystems, network protocols and file systems
  • Physical servers vendors: Huawei, HP, Cisco UCS, Dell, Fujitsu
  • Solid scripting skills: Bash or Python or Perl or similar
  • DB knowledge: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Config Management: Ansible or Chef or Puppet
  • Patch management and OS upgrades
  • Experience with application servers and application installation
  • T-shooting Linux/Unix OSs
  • Backups and Disaster Recovery
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Implement Security best practices and frameworks

Nice To Have

  • Virtualization with VMWare
  • Knowledge and experience with OpenShift & GCP
  • Experience in the telco domain;
  • PGAdmin tool;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
  • Docker (basic knowledge);
  • Jenkins (basic knowledge);
  • Grafana, Nagios (basic knowledge);
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of architectural principles (e.g. high availability, security, business continuity, etc.)
