
DECATHLON SWITZERLAND
CONTEXT :
Our Swiss project saw the light of day in 2016 with the arrival of our website in the region and accelerated with the opening of our first store in Neuchâtel in 2017. Since then, the project has grown significantly and today we have nearly 1’000 employees working in our 5 sectors (Logistics & Supply, E-Commerce, Finance, HR, Communication and Retail) serving 33 stores (3 openings in the last 6 months).
We are growing fast to deliver an ambitious project: to open new stores every year for the next 4 years. We must therefore complete and enrich our teams with profiles that are 100% customer-oriented, responsible, positive and equipped with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
As we continue to expand and evolve, our finance team plays a vital role in supporting our stores and contributing to the company’s overall success. You will be part of “Step 2” of the Switzerland project with a financial transformation to move more and more towards data and process automation.
YOUR MISSION
As a true senior finance partner to the business, you will train, enlighten, challenge and support stores to guarantee sustainable and profitable growth. Your main missions are:
- To support regional leaders and store leaders, for the stores in the Swiss-German region, to validate their budget and achieve it.
- To enlighten and challenge them on the financial piloting of their financial KPIs.
- To explore innovative financial technologies and systems to enhance financial reporting accuracy, efficiency, and data analytics capabilities
- To monitor omni channels revenue, expenses, profitability, and other financial indicators, providing the stores team with real-time feedback on their performance.
- To support the cost controlling leader in strategic thinking about financial performance.
- To act as a deputy of the cost controlling leader when needed.
- To help business leaders to identify areas for improvement, optimize marketing efforts, and enhance overall omnichannel success.
- To contribute to the sustainable performance of the Switzerland activity with growth of services (rental, 2nd life, reparation)
- To support various local projects such as real estate, commercial, transformation and innovations of the business
- To develop the skills and autonomy of field teams in economic management (economic analyses, activity management, budgetary process, ROI, cashflow forecast etc.)

YOUR PROFILE
- You have 7 years’ of successful experience as financial controller or finance manager in the retail industry, or industrial environment or BIG4.
- You are expert in financial analysis and modeling (i.e. Excel / Google file / VBA / BI and Data vizualisation)
- You are innovative and you like to learn and upskill continuously, love to explore new technologies especially in the data field
- You are a hands-on person, focused on action and problem solver!
- You are flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are positive, and you see every change as an opportunity to grow by finding solutions.
- You are a great communicator and ready to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- You are fluent in English and German and ideally French (or motivated to learn French).
- You are mobile: travel is expected in stores within your area, and occasionally to Geneva for team meeting.
- You are passionate about sport with a strong team spirit !
