Senior Director, Strategy and Transformation

Nutrition International

Location: Ottawa

Ottawa (and around the world) – Nutrition is the difference between attending school and learning. It is the difference between fighting a disease and surviving it. It is the difference between giving birth and giving life. Everyday, Nutrition International works hard to create this difference, striving for better and faster ways to bring improved nutrition to the people of the world who need it most.

Nutrition International (formerly known as Micronutrient Initiative) was created in 1992 and has since grown from a small Canadian initiative into a global nutrition organization, reaching millions of vulnerable people in some of the most impoverished parts of the world. Since its inception, Nutrition International has focused on forging powerful partnerships with countries, donors, and implementers around the globe to ensure the world’s most vulnerable populations get the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive.

Nurtrition International is a rapidly growing organization that continues to attract and secure funding and partnerships around the world. Driven by its mission and aspiring to serve more deserving communities and people, the Organization is mapping new frontiers and paths forward, and is subsequently in search of a new Senior Director, Strategy and Transformation to lead them through this growth period.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior Director, Strategy and Transformation, provides executive-level leadership and guidance to organizational strategy and global vision, bringing business units together across the enterprise to maximize organizational performance. The Senior Director identifies opportunities, facilitates internal knowledge sharing, develops plans of action, and executes corporate strategic initiatives that will ensure Nutrition International’s continued growth and success. A key member of the front office, the Senior Director plays the role of change agent, leading complex change management initiatives on a global scale, fostering inter-unit collaboration and ensuring buy-in and synergy across the enterprise. The Senior Director will engage with and track the work of the executive team, analyzing data and presenting evidence-based strategic directives in coordination with other members of the strategy and governance team. A key contributor to the Organization’s 2024-2030 investment case, the Senior Director designs strategy that is responsive to present contexts, but also actively anticipates future challenges and opportunities.
