Senior Associate for Water and Sanitation Investment Mobilization (Remote, US-based)

Tetra Tech International Development (www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Senior Associate for Water and Sanitation Investment Mobilization. This position is preferably based in Arlington, VA or Burlington, Vermont areas with consideration of other remote, US-based locations.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated senior-level expertise supporting water and sanitation utility investment mobilization programs in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The candidate will contribute to business development, project delivery, external communications and client diversification. Please note that hiring is contingent upon contract award decisions.**

Responsibilities:
* Lead complex proposals in response to WASH sector opportunities in developing countries;

* Design, deliver and supervise water and sanitation investment mobilization plans;
* Develop and implement thought leadership, marketing and communications interventions;
* Provide contract technical and administrative oversight and management to ensure high quality and timely project delivery;

* Travel regularly to provide technical assistance and management oversight to field projects and staff;

* Represent Tetra Tech to clients in the US and developing countries;

* Assess and pursue WASH sector client diversification opportunities;
* Supervise and mentor junior sector staff members as required.

Qualifications:
* Graduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., resource economics, urban planning, business, engineering, water resources management, international affairs) required;
* Minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience working on increasingly complex drinking water and wastewater issues in developing countries, with emphasis on water utility performance, WASH sector investment mobilization, WASH enterprise development and/or sanitation market development;

* Demonstrated expertise and results increasing public and private capital flows into water and sanitation utilities and service providers;

* Prior successful experience writing complex technical proposals is strongly preferred;
* Experience managing and supervising large, complex WASH projects in developing countries;

* Demonstrated thought-leadership and contributions in the WASH sector;

* Advanced professional proficiency in French, Portuguese or Arabic is strongly preferred;
* Outstanding oral, written communications and presentation skills;
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects;
* Demonstrated detail orientation and exceptionally high levels of organization;
* Highly proficient in MS Office applications;
* Position requires regular international travel (roughly 20%-30%), including potential travel to conflict and post-conflict countries;

* Long-term experience working on field-based (overseas) projects preferred;
* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with poise and professionalism; and
* U.S. work authorization required.
