Reports to: Senior Director, Humanitarian Services Operations

Location: this is a virtual position that can work anywhere in the US

Reporting to the Senior Director, Humanitarian Services Operations, the Senior Analyst, Information and Decision Support, provides strategic leadership, analysis, and decision support to senior management in the areas of project management, evaluation, and organizational design. The ideal candidate must understand and translate business strategies and priorities into analytical models. To support operational decision-making, this position will use data visualization to share information with staff at all levels of the organization including senior leaders at national headquarters departments, divisions and the field. The business intelligence focus includes metric-setting calculation and analysis, PowerPoint presentation creation, dashboard development and other tools for collection or dissemination of information across the organization. This position leads and participates in project work, leads cross-functional teams and manages volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Develops metrics for, and monitors performance of the organization, initiatives, programs, and strategic plan
  • Develops analytical approaches, complex modeling and reporting tools and systems for analyzing performance
  • Leads and participates in operations project work
  • Analyzes data, identifies trends, conducts research, and prepares regular and special reports
  • Development of data systems to integrate and display data, including requirements, definition, system design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of information systems that support the chapter service delivery network daily operations. May include database development, GIS mapping, dashboard development and other tools.
  • Survey design, pilot development and analysis
  • Supervises a team of volunteers and leads cross functional teams
  • Serves as backup for FOCIS website administration, user support and jurisdictional management
  • Comfortable creating and presenting leadership presentations to a wide-variety of audiences

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 yrs. experience; BA degree; One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced experience in data management, analysis and visualization using one or more of the following: Power BI, Business Objects WebI report writing, Advanced Excel modeling, Visual Basic or other scripting, Access tables, queries and reports development, GIS mapping
  • Ability to manage multiple projects cross-functionally. Experienced in creation and delivery of leadership presentations.

For those candidates located in Colorado or Connecticut, the salary range for this position is: $90,000 – $115,000
