PrevTech, a leading Canadian company specialized in fire prevention systems for agricultural and agri-food establishments, is currently looking for one or several sales representatives. As part of this budding enterprise, you will share our values, such as respect, integrity, and compassion. Thanks to your sales skills and acute business sense, your main mission will be to maintain relationships with our current clients and develop the clientele in your given area.

BUSINESS AND PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

As a sales representative, your mission will be to develop and maintain business relationships in your designated geographical zone, in addition to developing a new clientele.

  • Ensure the company’s visibility within a designated geographical territory (Bellechasse region, as well as several areas in Ontario);
  • Generate awareness of PrevTech among potential partners;
  • Maintain close relationships with current clients and partners;
    • Agricultural owners themselves;
    • Insurance brokers (incentive programs for the installation of the PrevTech solution);
    • Electricians tasked with implementing the solution.
  • Identify prospective clients of agri-food companies on your territory;
  • Approach prospective clients by introducing them to PrevTech solutions;
  • Take over from the development agent (prospection calls manager) when a potential client seems interested.

TRANSACTIONAL SALES

You will oversee sales on your territory for sales cycles lasting 2 to 3 months. Your powers of persuasion will be your greatest asset!

  • Be precise in the information given to prospective clients;
  • Analyze clients’ needs and recommend the best PrevTech solution;
  • Demonstrate perseverance and persuasion in your role;
  • Reach targeted sales goals;
  • Identify and seize opportunities;
  • Follow up on identified opportunities and convert them into sales;
  • Meet with clients in person;
  • Prepare certain quotes;
  • Independently oversee and carry out the preestablished number of client calls and visits;
  • Provide a report of the activities and results obtained on Salesforce.

Increase The Company’s Reach

As a PrevTech ambassador, your goal will be to promote the company to local communities and partners, all while endorsing its brand image and organizational philosophy focused on client care and friendliness.

  • As an ambassador, help endorse the company’s brand image and philosophy:
    • Participate in your region’s trade fairs;
    • Participate in local and regional events;
    • Stay abreast of local activities and ensure your presence.
  • Organize monthly activities to generate client leads:
    • Cold calls and visits along the farm route;
    • Targeted campaigns and a high-potential clientele (in collaboration with the marketing team);
    • Meetings with producers.
  • Help organize events created by partners:
    • Holsteins Clubs;
    • Pool of producers;
    • UPA;
    • Fire prevention services;
    • Electrician partners.

JOB PARTICULARITIES AND CHALLENGES

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong sales skills
  • Strong business sense
  • Have a keen interest in the agricultural industry
  • Have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
    • Reimbursement of travel expenses and fees
    • Kilometrage adapted according to the new reality

The Good-to-haves

  • Have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a sales development position on in the retail or customer service industry.
  • Experience in one of the following contexts could compensate for a lack of experience in sales or customer service: farm, sugar shack, or voluntary firefighter.
  • Have experience in a related or relevant industry:
    • Insurance broker;
    • Agricultural equipment sales;
    • Farm;
    • Heavy machinery sales;
    • Transactional sales;
    • Voluntary firefighter…
  • Have a diploma or training in sales or coaching
  • Be comfortable working with software tools

The Little Something Extra

  • Have an understanding of or a network of contacts in the agricultural industry
  • Speak both French and English (there are sectors in Ontario)
