FOUR RIVERS CO-OP is hiring PERMANENT FULL-TIME Agro Operations Support Team Member at our Agro Centre in Vanderhoof, BC.

From farm to table, Four Rivers Co-op is growing our team and working with Agriculture professionals to build careers in the agribusiness industry.

The successful candidate will be available to work weekends and extended hours during busy seasons. There is training and ample opportunity to grow in this position for the right candidate. The base salary for this position is $50,000 per year, or more, depending on skills and experience. Join our team and grow your career with Four Rivers Co-op.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Agro Division Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Performing general upkeep of the facility including keeping yard and storage areas organized and clean
  • Developing and maintaining effective business relationship with customers
  • Following all company and industrial regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Loading, unloading, and coordinating the proper warehousing of products
  • Operating and maintaining the fertilizer plant
  • Carrying out the preventative maintenance program and conducting minor repairs all year around

What You Bring

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Experience in the Agriculture industry in a similar position considered an asset
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Be a team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands
  • Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise and dust
  • Forklift/bobcat experience would be considered an asset
  • A valid driver’s license with a commitment to advance to Class 1, training provided
