Qualifications

Position Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Assist Commercial Sales & Marketing in strengthening customer relationships and knowledge
  • Provide campaign support and create preference for Boeing products and services
  • Assist Commercial Business Director with various management projects and tasks

Assist Commercial Sales & Marketing through Maintaining Customer Relations and Knowledge

  • Build and maintain relationships with airline executives, government officials, aviation constituents and Boeing program leaders and executives by supporting customer meetings and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Responsible for knowing the customer’s business strategies and plans, their operating environment, their fleet plans and their ability to buy airplanes and services.
  • Participate in customer meetings with assigned scope and responsibility.
  • Provide customer event support (e.g. host VIP visitors, delivery events, factory tours, dinners, etc.)
  • Interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns.
  • Assist in the development of customer solutions by performing analysis of customer needs and available resources.
  • Formulate requirements for both Boeing and Industry products and knowledge into recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Analyze business alternatives to recognize customer needs in relation to the strategic direction of Boeing programs.
  • Utilize detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to recommend areas of alignment and integration.
  • Support the integration of knowledge into business strategies and solutions.

Provide Campaign Support and Create Preference for Boeing Products and Services

  • Understand the airplane selection process and interact with evaluators and key decision makers with analysis and presentations is vital in differentiating offers and building preference.
  • Assist in the development of strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Boeing products and services and competitive environment.
  • Gather and analyze relevant information (e.g. political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise.
  • Capture and document specific campaign information related to customer business needs, culture, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites and publications.
  • Lead assigned sales and campaign activities by contributing to the development of strategies and tactics with minimal guidance.
  • Support the preparation of proposals by developing themes and discriminators and reviewing the statement of work, cost estimates, executive summary and pricing to ensure customer requirements are met and to improve our competitive position.
  • Evaluate alternatives and makes recommendations to the internal team leader and management.
  • Review and contribute to the final draft materials.
  • Obtain commitment and approval from internal stakeholders to support changes during the negotiation process.
  • Monitor proposal status to ensure timely responses.
  • Maintain and report metrics related to campaign status.
  • Assist lead negotiator throughout the business negotiation process to help secure customer commitments.
  • Leverage company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth by developing a detailed understanding of specific Boeing products and services, process and operations, and resources.

Assist Business Director with Various Management Projects and Tasks

  • Assist in the gathering of data and preparation of management requested materials.
  • Develop and assemble documentation of data and presentations to support management reviews.
  • Oversee the access and support of executive account plans.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Proficient in speaking and writing English
  • Fluent in the Korean language
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Prior aviation experience including airline or leasing company
  • Experience in a team environment
  • Team Leadership (formal/informal) experience
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Well-versed with Korean culture and customs

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

  • This position often requires work outside normal business hours (e.g., early morning, late night, weekends, holidays).
