Sales and Commissions Analyst

We are looking for a Sales and Commissions Analyst to join our Finance team.

The role will primarily revolve around the communication, administration and analysis of the commission plans, maintenance and reporting of weekly/monthly sales data and the ongoing administration and analysis of sales quota allocations. As such you will work closely with the Commercial and Finance teams, to ensure that all activities are completed to a high degree of accuracy.

This individual will demonstrate integrity and excellence in the provision of expert support to the Commercial organisation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as key point of contact in responding to commission-related queries
  • Calculate regular commission and bonus payments and work to strict deadlines to ensure that payments are submitted to payroll on time for processing
  • Communicate targets and compensation statements in a timely manner
  • Provide comprehensive ongoing quota attainment and achievement reporting to sales leaders – work to improve availability and value of existing reporting
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the finance data models that underpin performance reporting
  • Help to create, innovate and disseminate insightful analysis of sales/commissions performance, highlighting significant variances to target and any commercial issues
  • Delivery of weekly and monthly sales performance reporting and analysis
  • Support the CCO and FD in the ongoing analysis and evaluation of quota allocations cross the commercial teams.
  • Administer the lead allocation process, working with sales managers in ensuring all sales opportunities are effectively distributed across the team
  • Other regular and ad-hoc performance and commercial analysis and reporting as requested by the CCO and FD

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, including report and dashboard creation
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and administration skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (modelling ability including handling large data sets)
  • Experience of Power BI

Person Specification:

  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised and efficient approach with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload to strict deadlines
  • Continuous improvement – originating action to improve insights and processes
