Renaisi

Team Leader – (Big Lottery Building Better Opportunities Refugees into Sustainable Employment Contract)

We’re an award-winning social enterprise with a simple goal: to spark change in place. We believe that the best way to do this is to ask a question: what does it take to improve a place? What makes us unique is the fact that we combine two things in one business: we deliver employment support, advice, connection and engagement services to individuals and we help social organisations, charities and institutions to deliver greater impact through our consultancy services.

Renaisi has been delivering RISE to support refugees in 10 boroughs in North & East London into sustainable employment since 2017. This project is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.

The purpose of our Employment Programmes is to assist hard to reach communities back into the labour market by providing individuals with direction through a specially designed menu of services. These services include engagement, diagnostic assessment, employability skills, advice and guidance, signposting to specialist provision and short vocational courses, job search, assistance with interviews, and in work support.

Requirements

As a Team Leader you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the delivery of Renaisi’s employment programmes to high quality standards.
  • Assisting the Programme Manager in the delivery of provision across our employment programmes to establish and maintain a comprehensive service to promote skills development and address worklessness.
  • Acting as a single point of contact, you will provide information, advice and guidance services to clients in your caseload, including: face-to-face interviews and support sessions; producing action plans; assisting clients through our programmes of training and employment support and into employment; providing aftercare to clients in work.
  • Keep accurate client files and records (including use of our database(s)), and produce output evidence stencils for the compilation of monitoring returns for our funders.
  • To work with other members of our employment team to establish and maintain a comprehensive service to promote skills development and address worklessness.

What we are looking for:

As much as we’re looking for someone with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience, we are also looking for someone who wants to make a difference to communities, organisations and places. We’re passionate about that and you’ll need to be too!

In particular, we’re looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Experience in projects and service delivery in the welfare to work sector,
  • Knowledge of the barriers long-term unemployed people can face which prevent them from returning to the workplace, across a range of client groups
  • Achieving high levels of sustained employment outcomes for clients to 26 and 52 weeks
  • Working within a complex environment of multiple client groups, payment methods and monitoring requirements.
  • Managing IT based client management systems and producing client data and performance reports to a high standard
  • Working in a customer-led environment where client satisfaction is paramount.
  • Team working and delivery of joint targets

Notes

  • In addition to the above, you will be required to carry out any other duties required to ensure the implementation of the programmes and projects or other areas of work for which the Company is responsible.
  • This list is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive. Any additions or alterations will be put in writing by the Chief Executive
