Here’s where you come in:

As the Resource Acquisition and Partnerships Director, you lead World Vision South Sudan (WVSS)’s resource acquisition strategy, program development and partnerships.

You will facilitate program development and resource acquisition with high standards of appropriateness, timeliness, and effectiveness. You will oversee the resource acquisition team in the design process of all proposals and concept papers and will ensure that grants progress is communicated appropriately, timely and in detail with key stakeholders.

You will also take leadership in donor engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure diversification of funding and the growth of WVSS funding portfolio. You will lead the process to vet calls for proposals and direct funding opportunities towards the fulfilment of the WVSS national office strategy. You will also lead the identification and vetting, as well as capacity-building initiatives, of national NGO and CBO partners for joint implementation of programs.

Requirements include:

  • At least 10 years field experience in a relief or development environment, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role with direct reporting lines.
  • Previous experience with successful multi-million-dollar program management and oversight (USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, GAC, DFAT, UN agencies).
  • Previous experience in managing food security and Livelihood, WASH, Nutrition, Health, GBV/protection, and Education program
  • Must have a clear understanding of the working of the major WV partners (USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, GAC, DFAT, UN etc), their requirements and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including report-writing and proposal writing skills.
