Here’s where you come in:

As Resource Acquisition and Management Director, you will be leading the planning and implementation of the National Office Resource Development Strategy in harmony with Our Promise. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the National Office Resource Development Unit to foster the expansion and diversification of grant and private funding, and commercial contracts in line with the National Office Resource Development Strategy.
  • Strategically positioning WV Niger to effectively engage and retain donors through successful grant execution, impactful communication about the results of these grants, and robust partnerships with stakeholders, institutions, Support Offices, and donors.
  • Developing and sustaining operational relationships, capabilities, and collaborative efforts among national, regional, support office, and global center teams
  • Enhancing WV Niger’s expertise in resource acquisition and management, in collaboration with the Regional Office, and in alignment with the global Fragile Context Initiative and GAM strategic priorities.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant acquisition and/or grant management, especially in fragile countries (preferred).
  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in International Development, International Relations, Rural Development, Social Science or any related field.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of project management with government and multilateral agencies grant funded projects and experience of grant compliance procedures for major bilateral and multilateral donors.
  • Demonstrated track record in proposal development, funding acquisitions and grant management for major institutional donors (bilateral and/or multilateral).
  • Experience with public-private partnerships.
  • Experience in working in fragile context countries and humanitarian assistance (preferred).
  • Knowledge of workings with major donors, such as USAID, UN, EU/ECHO, FCDO, UN agencies, AfDB/WB, Global Fund, Education Cannot Wait, etc.
  • Minimum 25% local and international travel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
