We are thrilled to be working with one of our esteemed clients in their search for their next colleague to join as a Research Analyst.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Their specific responsibilities include:

  • Questionnaire design, programming and testing
  • Fieldwork management and liaison with external respondent / quantitative providers
  • Cleaning, editing and auditing of the resulting data
  • Creation of data tables and/or databases for delivery to clients, or for syndicated reports

The more senior members of the teamwork directly with clients on major tracking projects, and the most senior person on the team the Research Director, also attends Client Team meetings and helps structure proposals from a research design and fieldwork costs point of view.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is an entry-level role that has arisen because of the expanding responsibilities of the team as a whole, and the increased management responsibilities of its senior members (see below).

The successful candidate would be highly numerate and ideally familiar with the types of statistical packages we use. They would most likely be coming out of a masters-level social sciences or mathematics degree. Their training would initially focus on the more labour intensive tasks such as survey testing/quality control, preparing data for analysis, auditing data tables, overseeing translations. Subsequently, the individual will be taught programming and survey design skills.

ESSENTIALS:

  • A high level of confidence is required in handling and interpreting data
  • The applicant must be confident using Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and other formulae
  • Attention to detail is vital
  • Good communication skills and an ability to collaborate successfully across teams

DESIRABLE:

  • Technical skills including scripting surveys with experience of XML, HTML, CSS, J-Script
  • Experience in liaising with external panel providers and understanding quota sampling
