Job Purpose:

Reporting Officer will support in compiling grant proposals, contract modifications, donor communication, reports, information management as well as a range of regular and ad hoc reports and communication tools used for both internal and external communication. S/He will ensure the consistent and high-quality reports and proposals in terms of the commitment to donors’ requirement and the internal scope of work and approaches.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain a reporting timetable and deadlines for the assigned projects and monitor this timetable to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
  2. Support the efficient and effective consolidation and delivery of reports to the senior officers and programme manger, and ensure they are compliant with the donor’s requirements and templates.
  3. Provide in-depth review and proofreading to the received monthly and ad-hoc reports, presentations, security incidents and updates, project summaries, etc., confirming data accuracy, inputs consistency, and the logical order of whole paragraphs, completeness of the intended conclusions.
  4. Ensure the effective responses to donors’ inquiries in full coordination with line manager and the concerned teams and/or departments.
  5. Provide guidance and develop focused manuals for narrative reporting as well as – if and when required – support on the job coaching and focused trainings.
  6. Develop/improve existing reporting templates/tools, based on realistic delivery of reports jointly with the senior officers and programme manger.
  7. Maintain good communications internally and externally to ensure reports are informed by accurate and relevant information.
  8. Collaborate within programme and with support managers (Finance, M&E, HR, Supply chain, etc..) to ensure compatibility between narrative and other supporting information in all reports.
  9. Assist in preparing, reviewing, translating, and proofreading of TORs, agreements and contracts, and other documents may be requested by the programme manager.
  10. Assist in conducting regular internal meetings related to assigned projects.
  11. Assist Programme Manager and senior officers in the different program-related tasks.
  12. Assist in preparing PRs for the assigned projects, under the supervision of Project, Reporting, and Senior Officers.
  13. Assist in writing proposals, concept notes, project extensions, and any other relevant documents, in full coordination with Programme Manager and program team.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in English Literature or any other equivalent studies.

• Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic.

• At least 2-3 years of experience in humanitarian work.

• Turkish Nationality is an asset.

• Experience in Protection and MHPSS projects is an asset.

Required competencies (skills / knowledge / capabilities):

• Good knowledge of Project Cycle Management including project planning, monitoring, results reporting, evaluation and learning. • Experience in writing concept notes, proposals and any other relevant documents. • Good analysis and report writing skills, as well as coordination and networking skills. • Good planning and organizational skills to be able to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines. • Having high communication skills and speaks fluently and effectively. • Having competency in MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
