Unit Summary
St. Peter’s Restorative Care serves the rehabilitation needs of adults with a multiple medical and/or functionally complex condition(s). The patient has clearly defined goals and is expected to benefit from low intensity, long duration interventions provided by an interprofessional team. The patient’s goals can realistically be attained within a 90 day length of stay. Restorative Care is directed toward discharge home by helping patients reach their maximum level of functioning, independence and comfort. Typical patient goals include improved ability to manage activities of daily living, mobility, wheelchair seating, continence, communication and adaptation to an altered level of functioning.
