Role: Registered Manager

Salary: Up to £51,870 per annum

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week – Generally Monday to Friday with some flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

We are one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, one way we support young people is offering person centred care in small residential homes located in local communities. You could soon be a valued member of our team at Hestia House in Ipswich.

About the role

As Registered Manager you will work with a range of professionals to ensure that our children and young people who have a varying level of disability are supported with a person centred approach, helping them to develop to their full potential and through the next stage of their life journey.

You will lead, inspire, and motivate your team to hold the highest aspirations for our children and young people and oversee the running of our 4- bedroom home liaising closely with Ofsted to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence. We will actively support you in your role and provide you and your team with specialist training, development, and supervision.

As a Registered Manager you’ll

  • Significantly improve children and young people’s lives.
  • Provide a loving approach to the children we support.
  • Provide support to the staff team to undertake their role.
  • Provide a safe environment where children can enjoy time with their friends.
  • Provide direct care and support to children in all aspects of their support needs.
  • Work towards giving children a positive experience of being away from home.
  • Help children in all aspects of their daily lives and supporting their health and happiness.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures

  • You will be empathetic and creative in your approach and share our passion for achieving real change through compassion and positivity.
  • You will bring substantial management experience in children’s residential care, alongside a Level 5 qualification (e.g. Diploma in Leadership and management of Residential Childcare).
  • Your track record will be demonstrated by Good or Outstanding OFSTED ratings for homes in which you’ve held leadership roles.
  • You will be keen to apply your understanding of attachment theory and the impact of adverse childhood experiences on children’s development.
