Summary Of Major Responsibilities

Working on our Urology Sales team, the Regional Urogenomic Liaison 4 (RUL) will develop and implement a Plan to maximize the utilization of Exact Sciences products in targeted accounts while staying within budget, supporting corporate objectives, and highlighting the delivery of key selling messages. The RUL 4 should also incorporate a high-level of service, leveraging key relationships toward being the best-in-class diagnostic provider. The RUL 4 is expected to solve challenging problems in a dynamic environment. The Plan will emphasize how to build and maintain comprehensive relationships and develop key contact and account records in our customer relationship management (CRM) system to manage these relationships. To do so, the RUL 4 must have, or be able to quickly develop, a clear understanding of key territory-related clinical/political issues and create action plans to address.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales objectives in an assigned geographic area/territory through field-based call activity/meetings with urologists, pathologists, and their staff on a regular basis.
  • Elevate territory management, planning, and implementation.
  • Apply deep and actionable understanding of competitors and market trends that impact product utilization of customers.
  • Sell company products or services by developing new accounts and/or proactively expanding existing accounts.
  • Develop and implement a highly strategic and actionable tactical Plan that supports the corporate objectives and highlights the delivery of our key selling messages to include providing high-level of service toward being the best in class for an assay provider to maximize the utilization of products in the most productive accounts while staying within budget.
  • Use the Plan as a working document to solve challenging problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive relationships and develop key contact and account records to manage these relationships; ability to quickly develop a clear understanding of key territory-related clinical/political issues.
  • Complete all training programs and deal with the concepts and complexities associated with Exact Sciences’ testing and products.
  • Invest the time necessary to maintain an in-depth understanding of all disease states associated with Exact Sciences’ products and the strengths and weaknesses of competition; successfully use this technical fluency to move target physicians and influencers to actions that result in patient access and utilization of our products.
  • Maintain a full understanding of an area of specialization; resolve a range of issues in creative ways.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products and services, which includes a deep understanding of necessary disease state and product knowledge.
  • Attend various sales meetings and professional conferences around the U.S., as needed.
  • Work closely with the sales management and marketing teams to understand and communicate our product sales and marketing messages.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for approximately 15% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work seated for approximately 60% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 40% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 40% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 60% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a strong record of success selling/promoting complex products in medical urology and/or diagnostics or similar experience in selling/promoting complex healthcare products.
  • 1+ years of experience in urology or oncology completing tasks as outlined in the essential duties.
  • Proven territory or account management skills.
  • Demonstrated exemplary track record in the diagnostic space with sales performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop relationships with national opinion leaders within a target territory.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months, and no unresolved license revocation or suspension issues.
  • Maintenance of automobile insurance to satisfy any applicable state or local requirements with liability limits of at least $250,000 per person, $500,000 per accident, and $100,000 in property damage per accident (250/500/100).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical experience.
  • Diagnostic testing sales experience.
  • Existing relationships with urology accounts and contacts.
  • Strong relationships within major oncology accounts within territory.
