Here’s where you come in:

As the Regional Humanitarian Emergency Affairs (HEA) Specialist, you will strengthen disaster management capacity across the region with particular emphasis on disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and mitigation, disaster preparedness and response capability for natural, man-made and complex humanitarian emergencies.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree qualifications and/or professional qualification in Humanitarian, Disaster Management, Climate and Environment, or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years working experience in Disaster Management, including Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Preparedness, Anticipatory Action, Relief and Humanitarian works.
  • Practical understanding of minimum standards in SPHERE, Red Cross Code of Conduct, People in Aid, Child Rights
  • Strong analytical, organizational, collaborative and facilitation skills
  • Proven track records in securing funding, preferably on humanitarian and disaster risk management.
  • Self-managed, creative and takes initiatives.
