Recruitment Coordinator

The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organization that exists to empower and integrate the lives of migrants and refugees in the city of Lisbon. The mission of the People and Culture (P&C) Department is to ensure that anyone who integrates our team will know: “You are valued!” As a global team with a vast range of backgrounds, ways of thinking, and varied experiences, we want each one of our team members to feel that they belong, are included, and can thrive at the Lisbon Project.

As the Recruitment coordinator you will be responsible of the entire recruitment process from identifying potential candidates to onboarding them.

The role involves assessing and meeting the Lisbon Project’s needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers/interns; who are essential to the Lisbon Project. You will contribute to welcome them, appropriately, place them and provide continuous support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop/write job descriptions based on manager’s needs.
  • Manage the entire recruiting process.
  • Publish the vacancies on our website.
  • Screen applications / resumes and send them to the appropriate managers.
  • Help develop partnerships with universities and companies (advertise volunteer and internship position on their careers page or participate in job fairs)
  • Participate in the interviewing process (via phone, video and in-person)
  • Managing the administrative onboarding process
  • Update our database on excel
  • Send acceptance, rejection emails to candidates
  • Send mid-way volunteer feedback email and exit email
  • Help oversee all programming related to volunteers and interns
  • Handle the Onboarding Process
  • Assist the team in further related tasks

Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to follow deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Confident in data input and maintaining and reporting from databases.
  • Friendliness and ability to capture information from verbal interviews.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to interact with people from different cultures, genders.
  • Respect of beneficiary and volunteer confidentiality.
  • Linguistic skills are desirable, Fluency in English and intermediate level in Portuguese (fluency in another language is a bonus).
  • Willingness to work with your own personal computer.

Time Commitment: 20-25 hours a week – Minimum 6 months.
