Radio Operator
Accountabilities:
- Ensuring that messages are well copied/passed to all people concerned and record the messages on the logbook. Responding to contacts from other approved organizations and forwarding them to relevant staff members.
- Making daily contacts with reference bases (capital and/or field) according to communication rules/schedules and forwards all information concerning the security of the teams to the Project/Capital Coordinator
- Monitoring and registering any movement, of people, vehicles, and cargo, (departure, arrival, number of passengers, route taken, standard contact points) and informing the line manager of any delays.
- Installing, operating, and performing preventive maintenance checks on assigned equipment, checking that the equipment is working properly, and immediately informing the line manager of any damage/loss/theft.
- Maintaining the equipment, communications room, and premises in clean and tidy conditions.
- Providing basic communicationm trainings when necessary to MSF staff
Specific Accountabilities:
- Centralize movements every week for the needs of the mission
- Monitor the roads (Open/Close) in Baghdad and report that to the supervisor & HoM Advisor
- Monitor the rods (Open/Close) used by the mission to project locations
- Monitor security situation in general and report to HoM advisor if there is any update
- Assist logistic department with any related work needed
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education Literacy. Desirable secondary education
Experience Desirable work experience in relevant field
Languages Essential: Arabic and English
Knowledge Basic knowledge of mathematics, mechanical, electronic principles is essential
