SOSi is seeking a Property Specialist to join a medical support services program in Iraq in support of our U.S. government customer. The Property Specialist will be performing duties to provide clerical, administrative, and logistical support.

 

  • Performs duties to provide clerical, administrative, and logistical support, involving supply and maintenance functions, maintaining and updating manual and computerized inventory records, and monitoring control of medical supplies, equipment and administrative supplies, forms and publications.
  • Researching sources of supply and preparing procurement documentation for supplies and equipment.
  • Provides data and researches in preparation for capital equipment or high dollar value procurement justification.
  • Furnishes documents for shipment of supplies to offsite locations.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding procurement and logistics policies and procedures and provides assistance to expedite emergency orders.
  • Receives and stores medical supplies and equipment in designated warehouses.
  • Issues and delivers medical supplies and equipment to Diplomatic Support Hospitals and field Health Units as requested or as required to maintain established inventory levels.

 

  • Required and able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
  • High school diploma.
  • Knowledge of administrative, warehousing, distribution and procurement processes, routines and procedures is required.
  • Familiarity with Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) or U.S. Military Medical Logistics is desirable.
  • Experience managing government owned-property is particularly desirable.
  • Certification in personal property management is desirable.
  • Maintains current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Must have recent experience in the position (at least 6 months out of the past year).
