Job Summary:

CRS is implementing a 5-year USAID funded project entitled Climate Resilient Cities (CRC). As part of the project implementation team, you will provide technical support in tracking activity implementation progress in the six CRC cities and drafting relevant program reports (e.g. annual reports, quarterly progress reports, and annual implementation plan). You will support in reviewing and refining activity designs and reports to ensure up-to-date content, and a clear and harmonized writing style. Your strong analytical and writing skills will be crucial as you consolidate and synthesize complex information into project reports. You will also provide service in organizing internal project activities and the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective and efficient project administrative activities in support of the Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the tracking, coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities for the 6 CRC cities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
  • Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist CRC consortium and LGU partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
  • Contribute to developing, compiling, and packaging project tools, frameworks, and reports on urban climate resilience.
  • Provide technical support in drafting, reviewing, and refining activity outputs, activity designs, and program reports. Document project activities such as internal training-workshops, quarterly visits to cities, and meetings with city teams.
  • Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with local partners to prepare reports per established reporting schedule.
  • In coordination with the project team support capacity-building trainings, workshops, meetings and events for project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication and facilitate information sharing among the project team, implementing partners, and local government units at the city level to assist LGU partners in meeting the project goals.
  • Compile data provided at the city level as per project requirements and contribute to the preparation of reports.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder in Development, Geography or Environmental science
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in project support for an LGU or NGO. Experience in the field of ecosystems, Nature Based Solutions, disaster and climate resilience, urban planning, or public administration, a plus.
  • Experience supporting Local Government Units in the development of Local Climate Change Action Plans (LCCAP) or climate and disaster risk planning
  • Additional experience may substitute for some education.
