Job Summary:

As a member of the Clean Manila Blue Bay Phase 2 project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with the Deputy Program Manager and partner staff to organize and lead the implementation of all assigned activities of the project as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
  • Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
  • Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with local partner(s) to prepare reports per established reporting schedule.
  • Collect information on staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
  • Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
  • Provide support in developing and updating detailed implementation plans (on a monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly basis) of the project.
  • Coordinate communication and facilitate information sharing among the project team, implementing partners, and project beneficiaries at the community level to assist local partners in strengthening the community interest, community involvement and support networks.
  • Coordinate and strengthen working relationships with all local project stakeholders and serve as the liaison between them and the project team to mobilize local actors and community volunteers and promote project activities and impact.
  • Perform ad-hoc support inspections of various processes and resources at project sites to ensure timely project activities implementation and adherence to established process standards and procedures. Ensure proper tracking of resource use for project activities.
  • Coordinate provision of any logistical and administrative support to staff and partners.
  • Ensure project documentation for assigned activities is complete with all required documents and is filed per agency and donor requirements. Assist with preparation of reports and documentation of case studies and promising community practices.
  • In coordination with the project team support capacity building events for community leaders and household beneficiaries/representatives.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and report on community leaders’ and volunteers’ activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology, Social Work, Community Development, or in social sciences and development related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project support. Experience in the field of project management and for an NGO would be a plus.

Required Languages English and Filipino

Travel– This job will require travel 50% of the time within Metro Manila project sites.

  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members
  • Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
  • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
