Reporting to: Area Team Leader (1st Supervisor); Humanitarian Coordinator (2nd Supervisor)
Main objective To manage the “HelpUkraine” project funded by AVSI and other donors for the emergency response, ensuring the quality of the activities implementation in line with AVSI’s vision, mission, values and method, towards the beneficiaries, the staff of AVSI and partners.
Main tasks and responsibilities • Management and coordination of project activities; • Supervision and verification of administrative and procurement procedures; • Coordination of activities with respect to the schedule defined by the chronogram; • Drafting, revision and updating of technical documents such as: Terms of Reference, Financing Proposals, General Operational Plans etc .; • Development of relations with local partners and with all stakeholders involved in the project (institutions, donor, community); • Preparation of interim and final, narrative and accounting reports of the project; • Verification of the administrative reporting of project expenses correctness • Coordination of the project executive staff; • Coordination of monitoring activities.
Essential requirements Education: Master’s degree in Economics / Development Cooperation / International Relations
Work experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing projects in emergency contexts Excellent knowledge of English
Additional requirements (optional) Knowledge of Polish, Ukrainian or Russian is a plus
Required skills and experiences Hard Skills: • Excellent knowledge of Project Cycle Management / M&E and vulnerability analysis • Excellent knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Soft Skills: • Excellent leadership, coordination and relationship skills • Ability to work under pressure • Strong communication skills and intercultural sensitivity • Availability to travel within the country
