Job Description

The Director of Finance will manage all finance, accounting, reporting, treasury, and administrative functions for the Company and all its funds under management (the “Funds”). The Director of Finance will support the strategic planning process, providing the strategic financial analysis needed for a growing financial services company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and guidance of high-functioning team performing the following:
    • All finance functions, including corporate finance, treasury management, cash-flow planning, budgeting, forecasting and modeling, of the Company and the Funds.
    • All accounting, tax and operations of the Company and the Funds, including portfolio administration (billing and collecting), fund administration, investment flows, processing, compliance, and reporting.
    • Management of monthly and quarterly close process for the company and funds.
    • Compliance of each Fund with relevant operating agreements and policies, including valuation policies.
    • Assist compliance on all regulatory filings and submissions (ADV, Form PF, Gabriel).
    • Coordination of annual external audits and tax filings of the Company and the Funds.
    • Compile and review monthly ALM process with senior management to highlight possible issues.
    • Manage relationships with outside Fund Administrators and other third parties.
    • Provide oversight and review into the processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Holding company as well as all cash flows for the funds.
  • Review, report and present quarterly financial performance of the Company and the Funds to stakeholders.
  • Participate in senior management Fund reviews and strategic decision making.
  • Manage short term investments and foreign currency hedging relationships and contracts in conjunction with hedging advisor.
  • Be an active part of the senior management team and contribute to strategic thinking and planning for the Company.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management and investment fund financial reporting and management.
  • Knowledge of information systems and implementation, and high comfort level with technology and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a strategic dialogue and planning for organizational growth.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial topics in a clear, simple way.
  • Experience working and creating advanced excel models.

The following would be beneficial:

  • International and emerging market financial experience,
  • Experience in private equity, mutual funds or alike sector.
  • Experience with negotiating bank lines and structuring debt.
  • Experience working in an SEC regulated or registered company

Education Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, MBA or other advanced finance degree.
  • Seven or more years of finance and accounting experience, inclusive of preparing budgets and financial statements, managing audits and reporting to outside stakeholders.
