A WORD ON US

HIVE asbl, is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation supporting a range of partners with strategies to engage in presumed “high-risk” countries. To stimulate synergies between public sector interventions and private sector actions, we specifically collaborate with BetterChain, a Lisbon-based consultancy firm specialising in supply chain innovation. Our vision is to achieve a future where sustainable trade and investment in natural resources produce tangible benefits for communities, businesses, and consumers.

Our experts have years of experience in analysing challenges and identifying possible solutions to produce and trade materials from high-risk environments in compliance with international standards, particularly in the artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) sector. We work closely with local businesses to improve their reporting and build trust, as well as local civil society organisations (CSOs) to monitor and manage risk efficiently.

Both HIVE and BetterChain leverage the Datastake platform to develop information management systems tailored to our respective objectives. Datastake-powered applications are designed not only to meet clients’ immediate requirements (monitoring & evaluation, risk management, impact measurement, due diligence) but also to establish a continuous flow of information with stakeholders and overcome data silos.
