Type of contract: 22-month, Full Time

Salary band: $53,142 – $67,717

We are looking for a Project Lead – Canadian Institute of Social Prescribing, you will work with Director, CISP, this position will be responsible for backbone project management, including operations, budget management and reporting, communications, coordination and implementation of a national social prescribing collaborative involving multiple organizations and individuals. The Project Lead will liaise with stakeholders and participants, with responsibility for ensuring health equity and community participation are prioritized throughout the project by actively supporting the participation of people with lived experience and community organizations representing subgroups. Project management professional designation and ability to communicate in English and French are strong assets.

As a Project Lead – Canadian Institute of Social Prescribing you will:

Coordination, Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing

  • Supports the Director, CISP in coordinating online meetings, events, communications and collaborations between multiple partners and participants across several regions and time zones
  • Provides administrative and scheduling support to the Director, CISP and Advisor, Community Health
  • Acts as the central administrative and communications point of contact for CISP business, communications, and evaluation activities
  • Provides coordination and management for the CISP website and social media accounts
  • Supports maintenance of project budgets by summarizing financial reports and monitoring expenditures while meeting requirements that may be defined by funding agency or program sponsor
  • Provides detailed reports regularly and communicates regularly with various stakeholders as identified by the Director, CISP

Active Support for Equity and Community Participation

  • Actively liaises with lived experience advisors and community organizations representing subgroups, administering grant funds and supporting their full participation in CISP business meetings and activities
  • Creates, monitors and reports on outreach plans
  • Ensures health equity and community participation activities are prioritized and included in project plans and reports

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree, in Social and/or Health Sciences or related field preferred. With a minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of volunteer, community and healthcare sectors across Canada
  • Experience supervising others
  • Program Management Certificate (PMP) is an asset
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing at a professional level in English. French is a strong asset
  • Ability to solve complex problems and provide alternate solutions
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide leadership in project management practices, processes, and escalation of issues
  • Proven ability to influence others and build relationships, virtually and in person
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, SmartSheet and SharePoint
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory for this position and operation (the CRC will however adhere to its duty to accommodate those who are unable to be fully vaccinated for a reason related to a human right protected ground)
