Job Summary
The Project Coordinator will be responsible to plan and manage the projects related to the youth sector and its related activities, overseeing project development, maintaining a budget, and tracking expenditures. The Project Coordinator must further ensure that the project aligns with the set objectives and is in accordance with the planned target, scope, schedule, and budget.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Programs, the Project Coordinator’s duties will be as follows:
- Manage the project and supervise the team in the relevant governorate,
- Act as an integral part of the department/office by contributing ideas and initiatives,
- Conduct field assessments and surveys as well as collect and analyze data to assist in project designing,
- Preparing detailed work plans and budget breakdowns for the phases of the project,
- Ensure that coordination between various project teams and other sections are well maintained,
- Build a strong team by cultivating relationships between units and managing individual team members for the success of the entire project,
- Follow up projects progress, monitor and assess projects implementation, and prepare regular and ad hoc reports,
- Manage documentation of the project phases and ensure that all documents are archived in an orderly manner.
- Maintain good relationships and networking with related UN, INGO, NGO agencies, governmental offices/officials, and universities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Reporting & Monitoring
- Maintain, file, and organize documentation related to the project,
- Update and provide on-time, standard, and adhoc monthly reports to the Supervisor,
- Supervise and provide reports crucial to the performance of the project.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Qualification, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or business administration field.
- At least three years of working experience in/with NGO/INGO.
- Excellent in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, and Internet,
- Proven ability in staff management, donor contracting & budget management
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and non-verbal communication skills,
- Excellent language skills of Kurdish, Arabic, and English,
- Perform independently and as a part of the team,
- Dedicated, problem-solving ability, dependable and flexible to multitasking,
- Result oriented skills and good quality of work,
- Knowledge in file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures,
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality,
- Ability to work on various computer software applications,
- Open to suggestions, collaborative teamwork style, and commitment to get the job done,
- Ability to look at situations and find solutions from a broader perspective.
