Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to plan and manage the projects related to the youth sector and its related activities, overseeing project development, maintaining a budget, and tracking expenditures. The Project Coordinator must further ensure that the project aligns with the set objectives and is in accordance with the planned target, scope, schedule, and budget.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Programs, the Project Coordinator’s duties will be as follows: 

 

  1. Manage the project and supervise the team in the relevant governorate,
  2. Act as an integral part of the department/office by contributing ideas and initiatives,
  3. Conduct field assessments and surveys as well as collect and analyze data to assist in project designing,
  4. Preparing detailed work plans and budget breakdowns for the phases of the project,
  5. Ensure that coordination between various project teams and other sections are well maintained,
  6. Build a strong team by cultivating relationships between units and managing individual team members for the success of the entire project,
  7. Follow up projects progress, monitor and assess projects implementation, and prepare regular and ad hoc reports,
  8. Manage documentation of the project phases and ensure that all documents are archived in an orderly manner.
  9. Maintain good relationships and networking with related UN, INGO, NGO agencies, governmental offices/officials, and universities.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

 

Reporting & Monitoring

  1. Maintain, file, and organize documentation related to the project,
  2. Update and provide on-time, standard, and adhoc monthly reports to the Supervisor,
  3. Supervise and provide reports crucial to the performance of the project.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

Qualification, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Bachelor’s degree in project management or business administration field.
  2. At least three years of working experience in/with NGO/INGO.
  3. Excellent in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, and Internet,
  4. Proven ability in staff management, donor contracting & budget management
  5. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and non-verbal communication skills,
  6. Excellent language skills of Kurdish, Arabic, and English,
  7. Perform independently and as a part of the team,
  8. Dedicated, problem-solving ability, dependable and flexible to multitasking,
  9. Result oriented skills and good quality of work,
  10. Knowledge in file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures,
  11. Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality,
  12. Ability to work on various computer software applications,
  13. Open to suggestions, collaborative teamwork style, and commitment to get the job done,
  14. Ability to look at situations and find solutions from a broader perspective.
