CRS Philippines was established in 1945 and is the longest-running CRS country program in the world. Currently, CRS Philippines focuses its work on peacebuilding, emergency response, disaster risk reduction, and homes and communities. The Philippines country program has more than 120 staff with the main office in Manila and sub- offices in Davao, Tacloban and, Cotabato. CRS programs are implemented through a national network of partners, in close coordination with local, municipal, and national government agencies. The Country Program also provides support to CRS’s work in Indonesia, Timor Leste, and the Federated States of Micronesia, and has drawn international recognition for the impact, timeliness, and innovation of its programs and approaches.

Job Summary:

CRS is implementing a 5-year USAID funded project entitled Climate Resilient Cities (CRC). Based in Iloilo City, and as part of the project implementation team, you will provide support to City teams in preparing, coordinating and carrying out project activities and supporting with documentation submissions for the Cotabato, Iloilo and Zamboanga CRC City Offices. You will also provide service in organizing internal project activities and the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective and efficient project administrative activities in support of the Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the CRC program manager in tracking the planning and progress of implementation of project activities in Cotabato, Iloilo and Zamboanga CRC City Offices.
  • Provide support in coordinating the approval of activity designs and supporting documents. Support and document project activities such as internal training-workshops, quarterly visits to cities, and meetings within city teams.
  • Facilitate communication with members of the project team, relevant staff in other CRS departments/teams and external stakeholders as relevant.
  • Provide specialized project administrative transactions and processes (e.g. draft, refine and format documents; provide documentation support to meetings and calls; draft letters and email correspondence).
  • Support travel and logistics arrangements for staff (e.g. detailed itinerary, visas, travel advances).
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments.
  • Provide logistical and communication support to event planning activities (e.g. internal trainings, city visits, post-travel documentation requirement assistance).

Basic Qualifications

  • Professional Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Program Management, Communications, Environmental Science, or Social Sciences, preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in an office environment in a clerical or administrative role. Experience with a local or international NGO a plus.
  • Experience in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and program management tools (e.g. MS Project). Proficient in Word.

Required Languages – English and Filipino

Travel – Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time.
