2. Project Context and Scope:

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Assistant, and the overall supervision of the Head of Protection division, the Enumerators will be responsible for the data collection related to the project activities under PxD Unit and implemented through surveys (phone calls) as well as focus group discussions.

Project name: PRM Voluntary Contribution to the Sudan Emergency Regional Refugee Response

  1. Category A Consultants: Tasks to be performed under this contract:
  2. Conduct survey via phone, according to the operation plan defined by the Team Leader.
  3. Ensure the quality of the information collected.
  4. Report on a daily basis on the activities conducted and the realities/issues encountered to the Team Leader and make relevant recommendations.
  5. Advise and provide feedback on the questionnaires and modalities of the data collection based on the realities of the field work (where applicable);
  6. Respect IOM’s Data Protection Principles when gathering data on behalf of the organization, ensure all data are kept safe and confidential.

4. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

  1. Education
    • Bachelor degree in the Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology, Migration studies, international development, Psychology, etc) or Statistics is required.
    • Completion of Master degree in these fields is an advantage.
  2. Experience
    • Minimum 1 year experience in humanitarian work or related field, experience in social sciences research.
    • Demonstrated interest in the field of international migration.
  3. Skills required.
    • Excellent command of English, especially in writing; demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in English.
  4. Travel required.
    • Yes, travel inside Egypt maybe required.

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
