What We Are Looking for

ISGlobal is seeking for an assistant to give logistics, management and administrative support to clinical immunology research projects of infectious diseases and to PIs for a number of transversal tasks including coordination of follow up visits of study volunteers, purchase and transportation of materials, shipment of biological samples, financial follow up of expenses, reporting, and managing intranet procedures. The purpose of the position is to support the team so that procedures, logistics and communications involved in the studies at the ISGlobal immunology lab are properly and efficiently performed with the highest ethical and good practices standards. Additional tasks include support to the PIs and group investigators in research, mobility, dissemination and training related activities.

Specific Requirements

  • Required: Advanced technical training and experience in administrative and logistics procedures
  • Desirable: training in assistance to senior staff and in basic financial accountancy
  • Desirable: Experience in direct interaction with patients and communication of health related issues including COVID-19
  • Experience in management of budgets, procurement of materials and expenses
  • Excellent management and organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Good computer skills, particularly for Excel
  • Ability to effectively work both as a team member and independently, and to multitasking

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative, management and logistics support to projects.
  • Establish agenda of visits of patients and volunteers in studies, manage changes and communications regarding results.
  • Support with study visits and questionnaires.
  • Support to procurement and distribution of materials.
  • Support to monitoring and reporting of expenses.
  • Support in grant preparation, updating research webs and CV
  • Support to other group research, mobility and training activities when required.

Language Level

Catalan /Spanish Proficient and English knowledge

Conditions

  • Duration: The duration is adjusted according to the new labor reform in force
  • Starting date: estimated around 15/03/2022
  • Contract: full time
  • Salary Range: Technician II, level depending on qualifications and experience

During the crisis caused by COVID19, standard working conditions will be adapted to sanitary requirements.
