We are seeking a Project Assistant (f/m/d) in Albania to start on 1 August 2022 or as soon as possible for the project “Support to Media Freedom and Pluralism in the Western Balkans” on the basis of commissioning on the basis of invoicing.

THE ROLE

  • supporting the implementation of the project “Support to Media Freedom and Pluralism in the Western Balkans”
  • translation (Albanian-English) and management of receipts, invoices, and other project documents
  • preparation of progress reports
  • planning and organization of meetings and events
  • logistics for project activities and travel management
  • communication with local project partners
  • project-related research assignments
  • electronic data archiving and maintenance of the project team’s knowledge management system
  • supporting the project team in the matters of financial controlling
  • other project-related tasks

DESIRED PROFILE

  • bachelor’s degree in business administration, media management, journalism or comparable qualifications
  • good knowledge of the media landscapes in Albania and Kosovo, as well as basic knowledge of the media landscapes in other Western Balkan countries
  • experience and strong interest in media development
  • experience of international projects and of event management
  • intercultural experience, ideally in the Western Balkans
  • strong organizational skills, self-management and reliability, including careful handling of data
  • strong communication and collaboration skills
  • very good knowledge of Albanian and English both spoken and written, proficiency in German being a strong advantage
  • good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • experience with knowledge management systems
