Project Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Accountant on behalf of our client in the Eastleigh area. Our client has experienced substantial growth over the last two years and is expecting this to continue. Due to growth and an internal promotion, the need has arisen for a Project Accountant to join the business, initially on a 6-month contract, however there is likely to be a permanent role, if agreeable from both sides.

What will the role involve?

• Production of project cash flows and financial analysis;
• Processing contractor and supplier invoices for the project onto the accounting system;
• Responsibility for client invoicing and client and supplier account reconciliation;
• Financial reporting to senior management and the project team, monthly cost reporting and variance analysis;
• Main point of contact for all project financial matters;
• Communication and contact between Finance and the project team.

Suitable Candidate

• AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA;
• Previous experience within a management accounting role;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong Excel skills (Vlookups/Pivot Tables/IF Statements)
