The SHAZAM Network is expanding their core implementation team. We are looking for a Programmer/Conversion Specialist to join our existing staff to provide core conversion programming and technical expertise to our customers. The role of the Programmer/Conversion Specialist is to provide a seamless integration between the core implementation specialists, customers, and the technical components of the implementation process. Responsibilities often include assistance with development/maintenance of interfaces with ancillary banking product providers including but not limited to online banking, IVR, ATM, and item processing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for having an overall understating of all aspects of converting a bank from one core/platform accounting system to SHAZAM Core Services systems.
  • Works with IBM iSeries, RPG, SQL, DB2, JAVA and .NET and other appropriate programming and systems.
  • Analyzes, reformats, and validates deconversion data from vendors.
  • Must work well with core implementation specialists, receiving and processing their instructions on conversion mapping to produce timely converted data sets for review by the implementation team and customers.
  • Exercises a high degree of caution, ensuring that all client data is secure and well protected during the rigors of the implementation period.
  • Coordinates and manages the technical aspects of the overall implementation process including building the new customer database structure, designing the implementation environment for new clients, managing the flow of conversion input from implementation specialists, and ensuring the completeness of the conversion structure at implementation
  • Assists with development/maintenance of interfaces with ancillary banking product providers including but not limited to online banking, IVR, ATM, and item processing.
  • Documents issues and their resolution.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in programming. Years of related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
  • Previous bank conversion experience and/or backroom banking experience (internal operations/back room operations – DDA, GL, loans, teller) preferred.
  • SHAZAM Core Services experience or other core provider experience a plus.

Annual Salary starting at $70,300 to $87,900*

  • Actual compensation will be based upon factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
