Dikoda Ltd is seeking a Programme Manager to oversee the implementation of its projects in the field of nutrition, food systems, and food security.

As a global social business, Dikoda has a team of over 15 professionals with expertise in various fields including agriculture, nutrition, public health, and the social sciences. We work with a wide range of clients including governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and the private sector. Our team is currently working across 8 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and we have established offices in Bangladesh and Fiji to better serve our clients in these regions. Our head office is in the UK.

As the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for providing timely high-quality program delivery to meet timebound deliverables. You will lead a team of technical experts and work closely with our research team to design and execute projects that generate impactful and sustainable results.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field and extensive experience working on programmes implementation and management in low- and middle-income countries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Programme Planning and Design: Lead the planning and implementation of Dikoda’s projects and programmes, ensuring they are evidence-based, impact-driven, and aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Programme Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes, ensuring that progress is tracked, results are effectively disseminated, and lessons learned are incorporated into future initiatives.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, partners, and clients, and represent Dikoda at events and meetings.
  4. Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including budget, personnel, and materials, to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of projects and programmes.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact the successful implementation of projects and programmes.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Ensure timely and accurate reporting on programme progress, outcomes, and impact to stakeholders, including funders, partners, and the organization’s leadership.
  7. Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, support, and direction to project managers and other team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  8. Fundraising and Proposal Development: Support fundraising efforts by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and establishing relationships with potential funders.
  9. Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects and programmes adhere to Dikoda’s quality standards, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the field.
  10. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of Dikoda’s strategic plan, ensuring that programmatic initiatives align with the organization’s mission and objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of a MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as management, nutrition, public health, or international development
  2. Experience: Proven track record of managing and implementing multiple projects or programmes (at least 7 years), preferably in the areas of public health, nutrition, or social development.
  3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  4. Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline development.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders, partners, and clients.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to various audiences.
  7. Problem Solving: Adept at identifying and addressing challenges, risks, and obstacles that may impact the successful implementation of projects and programmes.
  8. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using data and evidence to inform decision-making and improve programme performance.
  9. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing priorities, new methodologies, and emerging trends in the field.
  10. Cultural Sensitivity: An appreciation for and understanding of diverse cultural contexts and the ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
  11. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  12. Tools and systems: Familiarity with project management methodologies, proficiency in project management software, knowledge of collaboration and communication tools, expertise in document and file management systems, knowledge of time tracking and resource management tools, familiarity with budgeting and financial management tools

Position:

  • Position: We are offering a full-time position with an initial contract duration of one year, with the possibility of extension depending on the performance and funding availability. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Location: The position is based in the UK, either home based with regular trip to the UK hub or at the UK hub and occasional travel to other project locations in the Asia-Pacific region. The candidate should be UK resident.
  • Travel expectations: The successful candidate may be required to travel up to 30% of the time, depending on project needs. Travel expenses, including airfare, accommodation, and per diems, will be covered by the company.
