Our Birmingham, UK Humanitarian Academy for Development (HAD) Office is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Programme Coordinator’ to join its team.

Serving the Humanitarian and International Development Sector and its parent Islamic Relief Worldwide – it collects, coordinates and delivers compelling HAD in action content and messaging around the globe to promote the training, and talent development services HAD offers to retain existing customers and attract new customers within the humanitarian and development sector. The Division leverages digital platforms, public relations, events and the media, all in line with HAD’s vision, mission and strategy. It is envisioned to be a hub where humanitarian and development theories and practice are studied, examined and developed.

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Programme Coordinator will contribute to the programmes department and support the Head of Programmes in developing, orchestrating and managing high quality, essential and needed capacity and organisational development programmes to civil society and local non-government organisations, those on the frontlines, engaged in and delivering multi- sectoral humanitarian interventions.

The Programme Coordinator will contribute to the identification, design and development of programme initiatives with relevant stakeholders, the set up and planning of programmes and implementation within scope (scale, time and quality). The Programme Coordinator key function is the monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes, ensuring a framework is in place and executed, aligned to the key project aims and objectives. The Programme Coordinator will contribute to developing the needed systems, templates and processes in order to enhance the department’s growth.

The successful candidate must have or be:

· Experience of working in a similar role with an International NGO

· Experience in training, organisational & capacity development roles

· Experience in project management both locally and internationally on ground and remote management

· Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience of writing quality proposals and reports

· Experience in producing updates, internal reports, and high-quality reporting to institutional donors

· Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes; use of quantitative and qualitative research data collection in support of programme development.

· Track record in working in business development

· Experience in relationship building and external relations

· Excellent interpersonal skills including communication
